FOUNDER & PRESIDENT — POWER MARKETING INTERNATIONAL

Alan Robezzoli — A 30-Year Discipline. Three Industries. One Mission.

Alan Robezzoli is the Founder and President of Power Marketing International (PMI), a digital marketing agency he built in 2011 to bring 30 years of integrated systems-and-marketing discipline to small and mid-sized businesses across Berks County and the Lehigh Valley.

This isn't an agency built by a marketer who picked up technology. It's an agency built by a software architect who became a Fortune 1000 IT executive, then a global apparel operator, then an agency founder — carrying the same systems-integration practice through three industries and three decades.

THE BUILDER ERA

The Builder — Custom Systems for Pennsylvania Manufacturers

Alan started his career as a software developer at JLG Industries, a certified Class A manufacturer based in Pennsylvania. Class A is the highest discipline tier in manufacturing — it demands precision in inventory accuracy, production scheduling, and forecasting. The software Alan wrote helped JLG earn and maintain that certification. It was the right place to learn rigor, and it became the foundation for everything that followed.

From JLG, Alan moved to Williamhouse-Regency — a Fortune 1000 paper converting and printing company — as Head of IT. He led a corporate-wide AS/400 rollout across approximately 25 factories spread across four states, an ambitious multi-state systems integration program at an unusually young career stage. The company later offered him a VP of IT promotion that would have required relocating his family to New York City; he declined and stayed in Pennsylvania, anchoring the rest of his career in the region he serves today.

He moved next to a manufacturing systems consulting firm specializing in inventory and production control for mid-sized eastern Pennsylvania manufacturers, where he led a team of six developers. The defining project was an 18-month custom ERP build for Perform Group — the parent company of Curtain Call Costumes, the largest dancewear brand for school recitals at the time.

The system Alan and his team built carried the kind of custom logic that doesn't ship in off-the-shelf software: hierarchical sales forecasting that mirrored how seasonal apparel actually moves; material requirements planning and factory scheduling routed across more than a dozen subcontractors; and a garment configurator that let customer service representatives capture custom orders by phone — leg cut, sleeve, jeweling, embroidery — with dynamic pricing and order-total discounts feeding specs straight into manufacturing.

The system stayed in use for 20 years and produced a 10% first-year sales lift through forecasting that loaded materials and subcontractor pipelines ahead of demand. That project established the practice that runs through everything that has followed: integrated systems thinking, applied to a real operational problem, executed end-to-end.

THE OPERATOR ERA

The Operator — From the Inside Out

After completing the 18-month ERP build at Perform Group, the company hired Alan directly out of his consulting role as Vice President of Manufacturing — putting the architect who designed the system in charge of running it. He was later promoted to Vice President of Strategic Planning, broadening his scope from operations execution to long-range business direction. Alan ran operations and strategy at Perform Group through 2001 — a roughly ten-year stretch as a senior in-house executive that turned the systems consultant into a seasoned operator.

In 2001, Alan moved to Elite Sportswear, LP — the world's leading producer and marketer of gymnastics apparel — as Executive Vice President of Marketing & International Sales. He brought the systems-integration practice with him and applied it to growing a global apparel business.

Under his leadership over the next decade, Elite achieved three documented industry firsts: the gymnastics industry's first online custom garment configurator (a direct descendant of the configurator Alan had designed for Perform Group, now web-enabled and customer-facing); the industry's first international multi-currency, multilingual B2B/B2C website; and a top 2% national ranking in website marketing effectiveness.

Alan built the largest international sales force in the gymnastics industry. The distributor network grew from one to thirty international distributors in three years, and international sales reached 10% of total revenue within four years. The trajectory culminated in another industry first: an exclusive worldwide licensing agreement with Adidas to produce and market gymnastics apparel under the Adidas brand.

THE FOUNDER ERA

The Founder — PMI and the Mission to Help Small Businesses Compete

In 2011, Alan founded Power Marketing International with an ambition the name made plain: help local Pennsylvania companies do what Elite had done — go global. The "International" in the name was the goal. What he found in practice was that international expansion was further than most Berks County small and mid-sized businesses were ready to reach.

So the mission recalibrated. Same integrated discipline, applied now to a different fight — closing the gap with larger, better-funded competitors at home, rather than reaching for foreign markets. From offices in Reading and Allentown, PMI now serves clients across professional services, trades, healthcare, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, and financial services — anywhere the fundamental challenge applies: closing the gap on larger, better-funded competitors.

HOW ALAN STAYS HANDS-ON

How Alan Personally Owns Every Client Relationship

Most agency founders eventually stop doing the work. Alan still does it.

He handles all strategy work for every PMI client — competitor analysis, keyword research, messaging development, the long-term roadmap that integrates organic SEO with paid search in a way that gradually shifts the business toward compounding organic traffic and reduces dependence on ad spend over time.

He writes every project specification personally. It's a discipline from the JLG, Williamhouse-Regency, and Perform Group days that hasn't lapsed in 30 years, because clear, complete specs are the difference between a project that lands on time and on budget and one that doesn't.

And he owns every client relationship directly. Every strategy meeting, every check-in call, every proposal. There is no account manager between Alan and the client. There is no handoff between sales and delivery. The person who promises is the person who delivers.
